    Know­ledge of me­cha­ni­cal de­sign.
    At­ten­ti­on to de­tail: The stu­dent should ha­ve a ke­en eye for de­tail and be able to trou­ble­shoot pro­blems that may ari­se du­ring the buil­ding pro­cess.
    Crea­ti­ve pro­blem-sol­ving skills: The stu­dent should be able to think crea­ti­ve­ly to find so­lu­ti­ons to pro­blems that ari­se du­ring the buil­ding pro­cess.
    Ba­sic un­der­stan­ding of elec­tro­nics.
    Pro­gramming skills: such as C++ and ha­ve ex­pe­ri­ence working with mi­cro­con­trol­lers.
    Per­sis­tence
    En­thu­si­asm for DIY pro­jects: The ide­al stu­dent should ha­ve a pas­si­on for DIY pro­jects and be exci­ted about the pro­spect of buil­ding a wire ben­der from scratch.
